Jed is no stranger to the Folsom-Orangevale area. After many years of running from God and involved in a life of drug and alcohol addiction he found himself doing “Life on the installment plan”. It was at that time while in prison that he finally surrendered his life to Christ. After his release in 2003 he went to the Union Gospel Mission Sacramento where he graduated from their New Life Program in 2004. The first Sunday back home Jed walked into the doors of Calvary Chapel Folsom-Orangevale and knew immediately that this would be his church home. It was less than a year later that the Lord brought Phyllis to our Church and they would soon be married. The Lord had spoken to people at the Church that they would be married and serve the Lord together. Today we see that word has come to pass!

It did not take long for Jed to discover his calling. Following an encouragement from Pastor Chuck Smith he started helping in a Sunday School Class. From there he would discover his gift of teaching and became one of the groups that brings church to a local Assisted Living Facility. Later, he would also become the leader of a weekly Men’s Bible Study, which he led for almost 10 years. Under many years of training and mentorship by Pastor Mike Flanders, it was in September 2018 that Pastor Mike ordained Jed to be an Assistant Pastor. Now Jed has now taken the role as Senior Pastor and knows that God has called him here at “Such a time as this”. Jed would be the first one to tell you that this church is a special place where the Love of God is felt through the love of His people.

In February 2021 Jed became the Senior Pastor of Calvary Solid Ground.
